Still time to get in... Just a couple more will get us to the 15% discount mark!
About time for an update. Sorry for the delay, the wife decided to go and have a baby right in the middle of things!
I've spoken to Dave at Powerspeed and he tells me we have 8 full systems and a couple of silencers.
Can you please check the details in the table below and let me know if anything is incorrect. One of the hard things is matching Blatchat ID's to real names so I may have made the odd mistake!
Confirmed with Dave =================== M1key Mike S S7RUN Bob DarDar Darren Atinod James ? (Silencer only for Hyabusa) MarkG MarkG jamiegb Jamie B RichyD Richard D ?????? Philip C Shown some interest ================== Robert B? Silencer Bertfatal SiCrad Primaries and collector SimonMac Airhog
PM me if you need anything. Mike
Original Post below this line.... =================================================
Ok, so we now have some prices from Dave. Still time to get in on the deal. If you're interested please post a message to this thread.
Most 7's are catered for (K-Series, Xflow, Xv etc) and he's happy for there to be a mixed bag. Fitting can be included or they can be couriered for you to do it yourself.
Dave is offering 12.5% off his normal price for five systems and 15% if we can get to ten. Price for a full system with repackable silencer in stainless is 695+VAT at 12.5% discount that's 608+VAT and at 15% it's 591+VAT
Other things you may want... Catalysts are £150+VAT Fitting is £90+VAT 4-1 adaptor to fit existing silencer (for MOT purposes if you go down the non-catalyst route) £50+VAT
Dave is also offering a 10% discount on silencers. 7" is 297+VAT (normal 330) and 6" is 261+VAT (normal 290). Bigger discounts if we can get more than 10.
PM me or post to the thread if you're in or out. If you're only in if we get to ten or if you can't commit just yet, but want to remain interested, just let me know. Personally I think we should hold off till we get to ten. The extra £20 will pay for some of the petrol used to get over to kent from Gloucestershire.
Once we have enough people all the orders should be placed with Powerspeed directly, not forgetting to mention this bulkbuy. Once we've all paid our deposits, Dave will start making up the pipes and we all get new exhausts!
Powerspeed website is... here
If you have any odd requests or questions, drop Powerspeed a line.
Mike
PS: I have no affiliation with the company (or Dave), I'm just interested in getting a good deal for myself and my fellow Blatchatters!
Shad asked about noise levels so thought I'd link to a couple of other posts I found... here...here... and ...here.
WRT the catalyst... As I understand it, it would be built into the silencer. Dave did also mention the possibility of modifying the existing Caterham silencer (with Cat) to be interchangeable for MOT day. I'll probably buy a cat as the car is mainly used on the road and sell the existing system to recoup some of the cost.

On account of the fact my standard exhaust keeps falling apart, I should probably put my name down for this. I'd need it fitting as the hole in my side panel would need to be modified to suit, and frankly, I've had enough fun trying to get a stock manifold in and out of my engine bay to last a lifetime
The the cat they offer, is it removable like with the CC exhausts? What about noise levels, can they quote on the kind of figures the exhaust should be?

Highly recommend this to people, really proffessional outfit and if you get them to fit it they do a cracking job of cutting out the hole.
As for performance impact I was lucky enough to do a dyno curry at Dave Walkers before and after which gave me a 2-4bhp increase and 10% increase on the torque curve. The way I have described it before is as though the car had just eaten a packet of airwaves....

Thanks for the updates Mike, great job, I'd be interested in a noise reduction add-in as well as having my Caterham silencer modified for MOT use, so I can go for a system without a cat :)

I need a new silencer. My existing silencer is a 27 x 5 inch, with a two inch input pipe. Would Powerspeed be able to make one that fits and is a straight replacement? |

I have a powerspeed exhuast can (only) for sale in the for sale section, which would make this a cheaper option if anyone is considering it |

I will have to hold off for a month or two, got tax and insurance just around the corner (for 7 and tintop!) so need to wait until that's sorted out
